When Jamie reached out to me to inquire about her wedding I had NO IDEA I would be walking into a dream location 6 months later.
Picture this, the most plush and green location in the woods you could find. Top that off with a flowing creek right behind them, and a gorgeous arch with an anchor attached; symbolic of their love and his career. If that doesn’t sound like a dream to you, then maybe the pictures will paint a better description!
Just a little backstory to tell this fairy tale, Jamie + Schuyler’s first contact was via E-mail. Schuyler’s dad thought they would be the perfect match, and he couldn’t have been more right! He was in the Coast Guard stationed in Alaska, and she lived in Arizona (coincidentally working for his dad). This girl moved her whole life to Alaska to be with her better half, can you even imagine? And that is where their love story started, so lets get to this wedding day.
Schuyler + Jamie were seriously two of the most laid back people I have ever met. When I showed up on the wedding day I was greeted with a huge hug from Jamie, and she was GLOWING. I set my things down and went out to the ceremony/reception area to get started on some detail shots. When I walked over the little bridge into complete wedding bliss I knew it would be an amazing day!
Later that day I walked Schuyler down to the creek with his groomsmen and dad, and when he started talking about his bride you could feel the love he has for her. He was calm, he was excited, and he was going to marry his best friend. Y’all, their ceremony was perfect.
I will always say one of my favorite moments in any wedding is the walk back down the aisle, when the ceremony is over. You get to see two people become one, and the excitement on their face is enough to bring anyone to tears. Every moment shared between these two was like watching them fall in love all over again!
Needless to say, everything from the beautiful wedding gown to the donuts (yes, I said donuts!) and cake was gorgeous.
Wishing these two a lifetime of love and happiness, I now present Mr. + Mrs. Meeks!
