Family Photos in the Arizona Desert- Monsoon Skies and Girl Squads

This whole session was one for the books! Last minute we decided to go out into the Arizona Desert with monsoon skies and do a family session for Tanya and her girls- we were literally blown away on top of the mountain by gusts of wind and that sweet smell of rain coming!

It has been so long since I’ve gotten to document this sweet girl gang- and they did not disappoint. These girls are kind, sassy, and so dang smart! Not to mention they have one of the best mamas I know. Tanya raises her girls mostly alone- with a full time job and a photography business on the side. I’m honestly not sure how she does it with 4- being that I do it with one only half the time alone and want to pull my hair out at times. I am always so impressed and amazed by how these girls thrive- and how much they love their mama! Also their outfits were on freaking point- thank you target for always providing the cutest stuff for girls!

ABOUT THE LOCATION

This spot in the Arizona desert was one I’ve had my eye on for a while. Honestly it is one you would miss just driving by- but the short trail up the mountain provided the best view of a storm to come and the city behind it. We found the location near Surprise, AZ right off the 303.

All 4 girls made it up with ease- and we were just surrounded by golden light and mountain views. It was the most beautiful sunset I’ve seen in a while! Enjoy this magical shoot and the cutest little girl squad around!
