Dani and Charlie’s Wedding was every bit of a rustic dream as you could hope for!
The location of both the ceremony and reception were at a cabin location with a lake like body of water surrounding the property. The ceremony site was on a bridge built over the water, with beautiful metal frames lining the aisle.
One walk into the reception area in the cabin and you just felt at home! The centerpieces for the wedding were their favorite books and the cutest coffee cups as favors for their guests with their names and wedding date on them. And the room was lined with huge windows showcasing the wide open countryside just outside.
They did decide on a first look, and it did not disappoint! The Best Man and Maid of Honor were both in attendance to the first look, and it was so beautiful to watch Charlie turn around just in awe of his beautiful bride. We always like to step back and give the soon to be bride and groom a minute together, but even without being able to hear what Charlie was saying to her you could tell he was fighting back tears of joy!
The ceremony was held on the bridge where we were met with a ton of wind and sunshine, and some of the funniest vows I’ve heard so far! It’s safe to say with these two they will have both a lifetime of love and laughter. And in true tradition of Charlie’s family the first kiss is hidden behind a blanket and only for the couple to experience. The sweetest part though was that the quilt that hid the couples first kiss was started by Dani’s late mother, and finished by Charlie’s aunt. Dani’s surprise was enough to bring all of us to tears!
After the ceremony the party got started right away! The speeches were heartfelt and warm, and the dancing was plenty! I mean how many weddings can you get in on a conga line around the whole reception room multiple times and play air guitars at?
Dani and Charlie’s day was a beautiful sentiment to new and old traditions coming together, and creating one big family of friends and loved ones!
