Let me tell you, these adventurous Las Vegas engagement photos just outside the strip were a LITERAL whirlwind but so much fun! On my way back from shooting a destination wedding, I met up with Lynz and Doug at the Jean Lake Dry Bed to create some magic.
With four hours left to make it back to Arizona I was excited to get out of the car, break, and celebrate with these babes who are getting married soon! And yes, a little bit of caffeine may have been involved in the process (just makes me even more of a hype-woman).
About The Location
Jean Lake Dry Bed is approximately 30 minutes or so south of Las Vegas, but the perfect place for engagement photos that are unique of your typical Vegas strip environment. Lynz wore this gorgeous long red dress which completely stood out in the neutral desert environment. And can we talk about those beautiful baby blue skies? I mean, it honestly didn’t even feel like a real place! I would highly recommend making the stop to anybody traveling to or from Las Vegas!
The one obstacle we dealt with throughout the entire session was a HUGE WINDSTORM! You can see in all the photos how we were fighting wind blowing her dress and hair. Personally, I feel like windblown hair adds to that adventurous, joyful vibe I go for in my engagement photos. Not every day is perfect, and not every session has the best weather in the world. Sometimes you just have to take with what mother nature gives you and roll with it!
