When Britney and Ethan reached out about their wedding in the woods I just knew they were going to be my people! We met up for engagement photos on a rainy day at Apache Wash Trailhead and I wont even lie we were super nervous the sky was going to fall on us. Instead, the universe provided us with the most beautiful sunset between the clouds. Britney brought a more formal dress and a casual leopard dress and both of them were show stoppers!
When we first started chatting they told me they were awkward in front of the camera and would need help with posing- but honestly 5 minutes in they were pros. The best advice I can give to anyone wanting to do engagement photos is that you do not need to be a pro in front of the camera to get those epic shots. You chose your photographer because you love their work and their style, TRUST US! I choose to pose my clients, then leave room for candid and authentic moments to shine through. And it works EVERY DANG TIME!
So here is my PSA- get in front of the camera and embrace the weather. Clouds make magic at sunset, rain adds that little bit of mood we need. You can create your dream photos in just about any climate- with the right background and all the love between you two!
